I am fully committed to the people of Pittsford and Brighton and will be a strong voice in advocating for what our community needs. Monitoring government spending, encouraging economic growth and enhancing public safety are the issues that matter most to you –and they matter most to me!

Fiscal Responsibility

The sizable 2023 Monroe County budget of $1.3 billion is spread thin, without enough to support current hiring needs for Sheriff’s deputies, Early Intervention providers and Child Protective Services case works for our children and families.

I will advocate for the programs, activities and events that need to be taken care of most swiftly, ensuring we have the full complement of resources necessary to fulfill county commitments and supporting all members of our community, starting with our most vulnerable.

Economic Growth and Development

Over 10,000 residents have left Monroe County since early 2020, leaving much room for industry growth. I will support economic incentives designed to create and retain local jobs, bringing more businesses to the area, encouraging small business investment and allowing residents in our beloved county to thrive.

Public Safety

Residents of Pittsford and Brighton deserve safe homes, neighborhoods and streets. Public safety concerns are quickly becoming suburbs concerns - from home break-ins to stolen cars to carjackings – and we must be vigilant in ensuring the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office are properly staffed and supported to meet the evolving needs of our community. Our county government recently voted to increased the budget to fund more sheriff’s deputies but the lack of qualified candidates means these critical positions will go unfilled. The community of Pittsford will go underserved as crime surges.

Our current county legislators also voted recently to give themselves a 58% pay raise – all while the salary for valued sheriff’s deputies is significantly less than that of the officers of neighboring town and city police departments.

I will support the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office by advocating for pay increases and ensuring recruitment for the most skilled and qualified candidates for our force to strengthen public safety.
